BC United Joins Ohio River League – Pittsburgh for Fall 2023 Season

BC United is excited to announce that they are joining the Ohio River League – Pittsburgh (ORL) for the upcoming Fall 2023 season. ORL – Pittsburgh is a US Club Soccer-affiliated league that serves the needs of the soccer community in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and portions of Eastern Ohio.

BC United will enjoy many advantages, including different levels of competition that allow clubs to build teams in all age groups, home games, limited travel to away matches, and flexible league scheduling that is focused on individual team, club, and coach needs. Additionally, ORL encourages input from all club directors to ensure youth soccer development within the local environment.

By working together with other clubs, BC United is committed to building a better environment for its parents, families and multi-sport athletes. As part of ORL – Pittsburgh, BC United will also have access to appropriate and varied competition through ORL’s working relationship with both the Central Alliance Soccer League (CASA) and the Ohio Champions League (OCL), both US Club-sanctioned leagues. Moreover, for teams that feel they are ready to move onto regional competition, ORL has a working relationship with the Great Lakes Alliance_NPL, which is part of US Club’s National Premier League platform and holds a National Championship annually.

“We are thrilled to join the Ohio River League – Pittsburgh and work with clubs in our area to provide our players with the best possible soccer experience,” said BC United’s Director of Soccer Operations Marcus Burrows. “There is a need for a league that is player and parent-focused, driven by cooperation and flexibility,” Burrows said. This is a proven model that has a long history at CASA and we believe we can build a better local environment that fosters growth and development for all of our players.”
